During our twelve-week victim awareness classes, participants are asked to meaningfully reflect on their crime and their lives. Our work centers around building compassion and empathy, deepening individual accountability, and exploring forgiveness and hope. We currently offer classes in five prisons in Southern California. Through a variety of exercises, participants come to understand the impact of their actions and are encouraged by facilitators to overcome their past by becoming a force for good in the world.
You helped to restore my humanity back to realize I am a worthy individual
who has healed and can be a change agent no matter where I am in life. I felt
the love every session of class.
Because of this class I am more humble. I think about the consequences to all my actions before I
act. I am no longer impulsive I treat others the way I want to be treated. My
heart is more open for love. I hate no one. I have found my purpose in life and that’s helping be of public service to guide people to make the right choices and decisions.
